Your Hotel on Wheels

Have you heard of a “hotel on wheels?” This is a concept that some manufacturers are pondering and, in fact, testing. Not surprisingly, the concept takes inspiration from motorhomes. Theoretically, a mobile hotel is nearly everything that you want travel accommodations to be. It has several rooms that have amenities like flat screen tellies and even personal bathrooms. It has an air-conditioning system to keep its occupants cool, plus a kitchen with a fridge to keep its tenants full. It can have an open terrace if you wish. It can even have a pool or a whirlpool bath! Perhaps, there will be no room service or maid service like normal five-star hotels do. But then again, there is that added advantage of waking up and finding yourself in altogether new place.

Although mobile hotels are still within the realm of concepts and trials, many travellers do enjoy such amenities. Those who own motorhomes or camper vans, be it for permanent or occasional use, know the freedom of being able to travel at your own itinerary without having to spend money on hotels. If you want to do a road trip that will take you to the various castles, gardens and seaside towns of England, then you can do so at your own pace if you have a motorhome. All you need is a place where you can park overnight to sleep. It would be like being the pilot of your own plane and being the master of your own hotel. With your very own camper van, you can enjoy the comforts of home without sacrificing mobility, independence and adventure.
